The main living area or salon principal in Maison Chenal contains a Creole style mix of modest and elegant furnishings. For over 50-years Dr. Jack and Pat Holden have researched and collected historical artifacts of 18th and 19th century Louisiana. The extensive collection resides on 110 acres in Pointe Coupee Parish with two main houses: Maison Chenal, a circa 1790 West Indies style Louisiana Creole house and the Nicholas LaCour House, built in the mid-1700’s.
