A procession holding the Blessed Sacrament leaves St. Leo the Great Church in Leonville, La. after Mass Monday, August 15, 2016. The procession starts the Fete-Dieu du Teche, a Eucharistic procession to Catholic churches along Bayou Teche. Fete-Dieu du Teche is French for “Gods feast” or Corpus Christi on the Teche. Due to heavy rain and rising waters, the boat procession of the Second Annual Fete Dieu du Teche was cancelled, but the celebration continued by driving to each church along the bayou. Each church held an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and prayed the Rosary.
