The centerpiece of the LSU Medical Education Building teaching terrace is a Dale Chihuly glass sculpture. Received on loan from the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, the piece features “red spears” made from ruby-colored glass. The sculpture is in a 1,600 lb. container and was hoisted by crane to the second floor terrace.
