The St. Michael Cypress lane at the Manresa House of Retreats in Convent, Louisiana was planted to honor the Marist of River Road. Between the Civil War and the Great Depression, the Marist Fathers operated the site as a Catholic school. Jesuits purchased the property in 1931 as the site for a retreat house.
