Veteran music engineer Cosimo Matassa, right, greets longtime customer Jacques DeClercq outside the Matassa grocery store in New Orleans, La. Matassa worked with Fats Domino, Lee Dorsey, Ray Charles, Professor Longhair and many others in his studio from the 1940's to the 1970's. He retired in the 1980's to run the family's French Quarter grocery store.
