  • Gardening tools rest on a wheelbarrow in the French kitchen garden or potager, a garden intermingled with vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs. For over 50-years Dr. Jack and Pat Holden have researched and collected historical artifacts of 18th and 19th century Louisiana. The extensive collection resides on 110 acres in Pointe Coupee Parish with two main houses: Maison Chenal, a circa 1790 West Indies style Louisiana Creole house and the Nicholas LaCour House, built in the mid-1700’s.
